Network and System Engineer
Job Duties of Network and System Engineer
Build, maintain and administer enterprise/cloud/virtualized IT infrastructure services.
Installing, configuring, testing, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting the internal computer network, including planning and other activities reserved for the most complex issues.
Troubleshoots and solves the most complex network connectivity problems, including monitoring the network and servers for problems, diagnosing problems, and taking the appropriate corrective measures to ensure an expedient resolution.
Build Power-Shell Script to automate server reboot, patching, Backup, Registry Entry.
Managing user authentication providers such as Active Directory, LDAP.
Assist in fulfilling requests related to storage area creations, quota management and data restoration.
Maintain an appropriate disaster recovery plan for storage and backup systems.
Assist in maintaining Linux configuration management policies, following standard security guidelines.
Provide support related to Linux-related issues and requests e.g. Linux clustering maintenance, driver/software support, and Network File Systems mounting.
Ensure all managed systems are up-to-date and conform to the latest security standards.
Work with system owners to help develop backup and recovery plans that suit the specific needs of the related project.
Create and maintain end-user and System Admin documentation for all storage and backup systems.
Education Requirement: "Bachelor's Degree is required in Computer Science or Computer Networking or Information Technology or Electrical Engineering"
